Dynamic 2CC RS Kit (center channel)
The Dynamic 2CC RS kit is designed to match the rest of the
Dynamic Series. This center channel will work well with the
Dynamic 2T RS tower or 4T RS mains. Use the Dynamic 0.5 or
Dynamic 1S RS as surrounds in a 5.1 or 7.1 system. The cabinet
features a separate sealed chamber for the midrange and a bass
reflex ported alignment for the woofers to extend the bass down
to 42hz anechoic.
The RS180-4 bass driver is from the Dayton Reference Series line,
and in our opinion, offers an excellent value in price to
performance. The bargain midrange unit is the Dayton RS125-8
driver. While not as transparent as the Tangband W4-1337, it is
very neutral and clean because of its excellent motor. This
provides a smooth response and low harmonic distortion. The
tweeter is the Dayton RS28F which is also a great value. While
not quite as detailed as the Scan Speak D2608/9130 HDS, it gets
one very close in performance for a lot less money.
This kit is designed to work well in a custom enclosure that can
either be built by CLD or the DIYer. After the kit is purchased,
the cabinet plan is forwarded to the customer.
The Dynamic 2CC RS crossover comes professionally assembled
on a pair of circuit boards. High quality parts are used
throughout the parallel circuits, including film capacitors and air
core inductors. The series tweeter circuit uses metal oxide
resistors and Solen capacitors, while the series woofer circuit uses
a low DCR Sledgehammer inductor. Many options are available
