Symphonia7 Kit (pair)
The Symphonia7 kit is designed for the customer who demands
extremely high performance without worrying about the cost to
reach this level. A pair of these speakers can make up the mains
in a 5.1/ 7.1 system or work well on their own in a 2 channel
setup. The Symphonia7 speaker works well near a wall, as long
as the rear port has room to breathe. A custom cabinet can also
be built if you need a front firing port.
The drivers are of the very highest quality, and in our opinion,
offer performance to back up the higher costs. The mid/bass unit
is the Accuton C173-6-095, a 7” ceramic cone driver with a vented
motor. This driver has a smooth response, low harmonic
distortion, and excellent bass clarity. The tweeter is the dynamic
sounding Air Circ 6600, which is extremely popular in the DIY
scene because of its excellent low THD and extended response. It
also features an advanced motor which allows it to play without
strain at reasonable output levels.
This kit is designed to work well in the finished Parts Express
.5ft3 cabinets with a rear port, although they can also be used in
a sealed enclosure with a higher F3 point. The optional cabinets
come in a cherry, maple, or black gloss finish. After the kit is
purchased, the cabinet plans are forwarded to the customer. The
Symphonia7 crossovers come professionally assembled on a
circuit board. High quality parts are used throughout the
parallel circuits, including film capacitors and air core inductors.
The series tweeter circuit uses metal oxide resistors and Clarity
Cap ESA capacitors, while the series woofer circuit uses a low
DCR air-core inductor. Many options are available for this kit,
so be sure to email us for a quote if you have specific
requirements.
