From each audio design principle that is researched, something new is learned, then we take the best attributes from each idea and apply
them to the speaker to offer the best sound imaginable. This research takes up a considerable amount of time, but only because of the
pursuit to find audio solutions that create a real life sound. In some circumstances, a recording can sound equal to a live event through a
HIFI/Home Theater playback system. We try to create a you-are-there listening experience without changing the sonic signature of the
information that comes through the signal path. Thus, all Clearwave Loudspeaker Design speakers target flat frequency responses from
the vertical and horizontal planes. As my webpage grows, more designs will be offered for the community. Each will have one thing in
common; excellence and low coloration that is true to the source.
Some important policies:
Each kit is the cost of all the parts with no additional charge for R&D. Pricing is for a pair unless indicated
(excludes center channels for example). I will not separate or sell just the crossovers without the purchase of a
kit. I'm flexible about what goes in the kit, or what parts you might want to substitute, but part of the reason
the kit pricing can remain at the retail pricing you would find at other vendors, and I can charge nothing for the
assembly of the crossover, is that I make a small percentage on the sale of the drivers and parts. All the drivers
carry a warranty through the manufacturer of the parts.
Return Policy: If you change your mind for whatever reason, return the kit parts in unused condition for a refund
within 15 days of receiving the items. Damaged kits must be reported to the shipper immediately, and handled
through the shipper claims department. Deposits on custom speakers (typically 50%) are non-refundable once
payment is made. Custom build speakers are non-returnable. It is expected you know what you want when an
order is placed for custom build loudspeakers. If product is defective, it will be repaired by CLD. Shipping expenses
are to be split by customer and CLD.
Legal Stuff: All the kit designs are proprietary, which means the circuit can not be shared with anyone or
reproduced. Cabinet building can put you at risk to injury. I will not be held responsible for any mishap with the
building of these speakers. Also, the kit requires that you have a basic understanding of electronics. One
mis-wire can result in an amplifier burning up. Care must be taken to test the system before hooking the
speakers up to your electronics. Under no circumstances will Clearwave Loudspeaker Design be held
responsible for mistakes that result in damage to other connected electronics or lead to personal injury. All the
assembled crossovers that leave the factory will be tested for safe operation, but the purchaser is expected to check
the circuit for shorts prior to hooking up to an amplifier or system. Unlimited support via email and the forum is
